Mumbai University has conducted the final year examinations for regular students on Monday. The varsity has segmented its affiliated colleges under its jurisdiction into a total of 94 clusters. With this move, the University has planned to supervise examination across all the colleges. The maximum number of clusters initiated final semester exams for the regular students on 5th October 2020. As per the report, the exams were organized in courses under all streams.
At the affiliated college of the University i.e., at the Institute of Distance and Open Learning [IDOL], a total of 1283 students appeared for the exams out of 1580 students. In MU’s department, about 898 students took the exam out of 981 on Monday. By mentioning different reasons, some of the students couldn’t appear for the final year exams, the Mumbai University disclosed in a statement.
Before holding the exams, as part of the preparation of online exams, the varsity shared a sample question paper and answer keys with the students. Mumbai University issued a statement that reads, ‘For some exams, mock tests are yet to be conducted. In case any student may have missed the exam due to technical glitch or any other difficulty, the student will be allowed to appear for a re-exam said Board of Examination and Evaluation director, Dr. Vinod Patil.’
