Andhra Pradesh Govt to Conduct CETs from September 10

The State Government of Andhra Pradesh has geared up to conduct the Common Entrance Tests across the state starting from 10th September 2020. The Minister for Education, Andhra Pradesh Adimulapu Suresh has disclosed the schedule for AP CETs on Tuesday. The minister said that the common entrance tests will be organized in the state by following proper precautionary measures amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

As per the latest news, the common entrance tests in AP will commence with AP ICET [Integrated Common Entrance Test] that takes place in a total of 4 sessions. AP ICET exam will be conducted on 10th and 11th September 2020. Further, the concerned authorities will hold the AP ECET 2020 exam on 14th September followed by AP EAMCET organized between 17th and 25th September 2020.

Later, the AP PGCET examination will be conducted on 26th September followed by AP PGECET between 28th and 30th September. The AP EDCET and AP LawCET examinations will be organized on 1st October 2020. The last common entrance test in AP is AP PECET that will be conducted between 2nd and 5th October 2020. The official website of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education [APSCHE] is sche.ap.gov.in. The council made this announcement regarding the CET exam information in an official statement. More than 272720 students have applied for the EAMCET examination in the state. A total of 64884 candidates have registered for AP ICET while 37167 students have enrolled for the AP ECET examination this year.

The authorities have increased the total number of exam slots to provide accommodation to less number of candidates in each slot. The concerned officials have assigned various exam centers at different places in the state to conduct the CETs. As per the latest report, all the test venues will be sanitized using Sodium Hypochloride post the completion of each session of the exam. Besides this, the center will comprise the sanitizers, face masks, gloves, and thermal scanners in a secured environment. The education minister has given assurance to all the parents of the candidates that the exams will be conducted amid proper safety precautions.
