The Government of Andhra Pradesh has postponed the AP 10th class exams due to the outbreak of coronavirus globally. Previously, the authorities have scheduled to organize the SSC exams in AP from 31st March to 8th April 2020. But now, the situation has been changed totally as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic. In AP, the 10th class exam schedule will be revised soon as per the latest update from AP Government.
The Education Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Adimulapu Suresh told a news portal regarding the postponement of AP SSC 2020 exams. He said, ‘Class 10 exams which were scheduled to start on 31st March have been postponed for two weeks, due to Coronavirus.’ The education minister further stated that the revised dates of the 10th board exam will be published soon.
The officials will think about the revised dates after considering the condition in the state. This year, a total of 8,39,022 candidates have applied for the AP 10th board exam 2020. The board has already made necessary arrangements for organizing the exam in 2923 exam venues across the state.
S. Sriram, the Advocate General told the AP High Court regarding the State Government’s decision about SSC exams 2020. He informed that the officials will soon release a fresh notification to intimate about the revised exam schedule. Meanwhile, people across the nation are ordered to stay home for 21 days to diminish the risk of spreading Coronavirus. The Central Government has imposed lockdown across all the states in India in the context of the coronavirus outbreak.
