Bihar BCECE 2020 Postponed Due to COVID-19 Lockdown

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board [BCECEB] has decided to delay the  BCECE 2020 amid the COVID-19 outbreak. The Indian Government has extended the lockdown across the nation till 30th April 2020. The officials of the board also postponed the issuance of BCECE admit card 2020. Earlier, the board officials have scheduled to organize the BCECE 2020 entrance test on 19th and 20th April 2020.

The BCECE admit card 2020 issuance was scheduled to release on 6th April 2020. Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and the imposed lockdown across the country, the entrance exam has been deferred. In the latest notice, the officials of the board have announced the news about the postponement of the entrance examination.

The official notification reads, ‘In continuation to the Advertisement No. BCECEB(BCECE)-2020/05 dt. 17.03.2020, it is to inform to Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE)-2020 candidates, parents and all concerned that due to COVID-19 epidemic and lockdown situation, the proposed date of examination of BCECE-2020 i.e. 19.04.2020 and 20.04.2020 is hereby postponed till further notice.’

The candidates can check the latest updates about the revised schedule for BCECE 2020 exam on the official website i.e., at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. Even, the board has extended the last date for the Bihar Entrance Exam online registrations to 26th April i.e., until 11.59 PM. After the submission of online applications, the last date for the fee payment is 27th April 2020. For the payment of the application fee, the due date has been scheduled for 28th April.

BCECE is the entrance examination organized at the state-level to provide admissions into various UG courses in the fields of Pharmacy, Agriculture Science, Paramedical and more. This examination will be organized in two stages. In the first stage, the candidates need to answer 50 questions from the subjects of Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. Stage 2 comprises a total of 100 questions from the same subjects as in the 1st stage. The 1st and 2nd stages of the exam will be conducted for 600 and 1200 marks respectively.
