The Bihar Government announced that it will promote the students of classes 1 to 9 and 11 to the next class without exams. In the latest announcement, the education department has come to this decision amid the COVID-19 outbreak. This promotion is given to the students of all the schools across the nation. Soon after lifting the lockdown in the country, the school authorities will begin the new academic session. The promoted students can join their respective new academic sessions.
Considering the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the Bihar Education Department has decided to promote the students of classes 1 to 9 and 11. Krishna Nandan Verma, the
Education Minister of Bihar took this decision. In the current critical situation of the state, the schools have been shut down for a long time. Due to this condition in the state, the Minister had to take this decision.
Meanwhile, the Bihar Board has disclosed the 12th class exam results on 24th March 2020 i.e., a day before the lockdown. Still, the board hasn’t disclosed the 10th board exam results. As of now, the officials of the board have stopped the evaluation process. The process of evaluation might be resumed once the lockdown is finished.
Bihar Government is not the first one to promote the students of classes between 1 to 9 and 11. Several education boards have already mass promoted the students amid the COVID-19 pandemic. CBSE and MP boards have decided to promote the candidates of classes 1 to 8 to the next grades without exams.
