The University of Calcutta has scheduled to hold the final semester exams online for its students pursuing various PG and UG courses between 1st October and 18th October 2020. As per the latest report, the Calcutta University will conduct the exam to all the students studying in its affiliated colleges. Sonali Chakraborty Banerjee, the Vice-Chancellor of the University announced the same during a conference He said that the candidates will be provided 24 hours to finish the papers.
The VC further added, ‘We have decided to conduct the final semester undergraduate exams in our affiliated colleges and final semester exams for postgraduate courses in our 68 departments under the university in an online mode. The question papers will be sent to the students through email and WhatsApp. They will submit answer scripts online. If any student fails to do so then he will send the hard copy of the answer script through the post to the university.’
The Vice-Chancellor said that the results of the final semester exams of both UG and PG courses will be disclosed by 31st October 2020. On the other hand, Visva Bharati University [VBU] has decided to conduct the final semester examination this month. The officials of the University informed all the principals of different departments to select the modalities for organizing the exams.
