Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the Education Minister was live on 27th April 2020. The Minister interacted with parents on different issues being confronted by the students amid the nationwide lockdown. On 25th April 2020 i.e., on Saturday, the Minister released a video. He said in the video that the major intention of the webinar with the parents is to discuss various academic problems and the mental health of the candidates.
The webinar was conducted at 1 PM on Monday. In the video, the Minister announced the webinar and also asked the parents and students to post their queries and suggestions using the hashtag ‘#EducationMinisterGoesLive’ on the microblogging website, Twitter. On Twitter, several students and parents have dropped their issues as many of them have been confronting a plethora of problems.
As per the tweets posted by the parents on Twitter says that they are highly worried about their children taking up the pending board exams post lifting the lockdown. No parent is willing to make their child attend the exam venue to take part in the examination as it could show an impact on their health. Most of the students also posted their problems across social media is taking up the board exams post the lockdown period.
Some of them are highly depressed while some others advised the board officials to give grace marking and lenient checking. One of the students namely Aman Massey said, ‘I’m a student of class 12th. our time is getting wasted because of the confusion, that should we prepare for our remaining exams or focus on the upcoming session.’
