The officials of the board also said that it would intimate the students at least 10 days before holding the exams. Meanwhile, the students can prepare for the board exams. During the video conference meeting conducted earlier this week, the HRD Minister informed us that the exams will be organized only after the completion of the lockdown.
As mentioned earlier, once the lockdown is lifted on 3rd May 2020, the students can anticipate the exams to be organized within 10 days. During the same meeting, the HRD Minister asked the state education ministers to begin the evaluation process of the answer scripts. The Government of Delhi requested the Central Government to promote the students of 10th and 12th classes depending on their performance in the internal exams.
Sanyam Bhardwaj, the Controller of Examinations of CBSE said, ‘Recently, there has been a lot of speculation regarding CBSE Board exams. The board’s decision to take exams for 29 subjects of class 10 and 12, stands the same. There is no change in the position of conducting board exams. Therefore, exams will be conducted.’ The officials of CBSE clarified the confusion and said that the exams will be conducted for sure only after the lockdown.
Previously, the 10th and 12th class exams of CBSE board for the postponed subjects will be organized for only 29 key subjects. The board has picked the significant subjects that are required for admission into colleges. In the North-East regions of Delhi, the 10th class exams won’t be conducted, as per the previous announcement. But now, the cancelled exams will be organized once again as per the latest orders.
