Ramesh Pokhriyal, the Minister for Human Resource Development announced that the evaluation process of CBSE 10th and 12th classes will be wrapped up in 50 days. During the live interaction with teachers on Thursday, the minister made this announcement. The concerned authorities of the board have assigned selected teachers for carrying out the evaluation process of the 10th and 12th answer sheets.
During the meeting, the minister said that the selected teachers for the evaluation process will be excluded from teaching online classes for the students. Those teachers neither have to take part in the digital sessions nor submit the daily reports to the higher authorities, said the minister. He said that the paper evaluation is a tough task for the teachers. Hence, the minister had assigned the teachers solely for the evaluation process. Those teachers need not prepare for the new academic sessions.
In the previous week, the HRD Minister said that the teachers will carry out the evaluation process of CBSE 10th and 12th answer scripts at home. To provide answer sheets to the teachers, the Central Board of Secondary Education has set up a total of 3000 schools as the exam venues. The board officials have already commenced the evaluation process. About 1.5 crore answer sheets of the 10th and 12th class exams that were conducted previously are given to the teachers for the evaluation.
It is already known that considering the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and the nationwide lockdown, the board has postponed 29 vital exams of 10th and 12th class students. The schedule for the pending 10th and 12th class board exams has been announced by the HRD minister recently. The leftover exams will be organized between 1st and 15th July 2020.
