The Central Board of Secondary Education [CBSE] has provided a facility for accessing online books for the students of classes 1 to 12. To make sure that the students don’t lose their academics amid the COVID-19 lockdown in India, the CBSE board took this decision. The books that are provided online are NCERT books and the students can access them in the form of PDF and flipbooks as well.
The NCERT books that are present in online platforms are available in two different mediums i.e., English and Hindi for the students. We all know that the Indian Government has extended the lockdown period till 3rd May 2020. During this period, all the schools across different states will be closed. The 10th and 12th class board exams are yet to be organized by the CBSE board.
Due to the lockdown and the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the board has decided to promote the students of classes from 1 to 9 to the next standards sans conducting exams. The board officials also planned to provide online education to the students as the new academic schedule will begin soon. So, the students need to take part in the digital classes.
As part of the decision, the board has provided online books for the students pursuing classes between 1 and 12. Meanwhile, the ambitious students are eagerly waiting for the revised schedule of CBSE board exams. Previously, the board has clarified that the students who will take up the board exams will be provided at least 10 days of time post lifting the lockdown.
On the other hand, the University Grants Commission has set up a 7-member committee to prepare an academic schedule amid the lockdown. The committee will prepare a schedule that evades the further postponement of the exams and begins the new academic session i.e., 2020-21. However, the committee is still in work to release the official report.
