The Central Board of Secondary Education has revived the tele-counselling services for the leftover 10th and 12th class exams. As per the latest report, the pending board exams for class 10 and 12 students will be commenced between 1st July and 15th July 2020 across the nation. Meanwhile, the tele-counselling services will be accessible for the aspirants starting from 1st June to 15th June 2020. The students can acquire these services between 9.30 am and 5.30 pm.
The board officials further assured that the helpline number includes IVRD as well as live counselling. The aspiring candidates can even utilize the toll-free provision and the number is 1800-11-8004. The tele-counselling services initiated by the CBSE board includes various services. The students can ask general queries. The teleoperators will answer the general queries. On the other hand, a total of 73 counsellors have been assigned to provide live psychological counselling in the nation. Besides the counsellors, the principals will offer these services to the students.
In an official statement, the board said, ‘The board will not hold exams in foreign schools, 21 volunteer principals and counsellors will, however, remain available for students outside India.’ The official statement further reads, ‘The widespread COVID-19 has severely impacted lives and systems across the world. It has prompted the board to provide help for the mental well-being of students and parents amidst cancellation of exams, disruption of regular schooling and compulsory lockdown.’
The students or parents will be able to access the preparation tips, CBSE offices’ contact information and other FAQs through the tele-counselling services. Apart from the board exams information, the students can check the COVID-19 day-to-day protocol, FAQs on exams amid COVID-19 pandemic and other tips to learn from home.
