Amid coronavirus outbreak, the Chhattisgarh students pursuing classes 1 to 9 and 11 will be promoted without any exams. Bhupesh Baghel, the CM of Chhattisgarh has made this decision of promoting the students of class 1 to 9 and 11. The Government has to take this decision due to the COVID-19 pandemic that’s shivering the entire world.
Till now, different states across the country have decided to mass promote the students of class 1 to 9. Some of the states include Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Delhi. Now, it’s the Government of Chhattisgarh that has made this proper decision in a critical situation. All the students pursuing education in the academic session 2019-2020 will be promoted.
The Government has made this announcement through a press release. As per the notice, ‘the schools across the state were closed for a long time. As a result, the examinations of class I to class IX and class XI won’t be organized. It will not be possible to conduct the exams in the imminent future. In this regard, the state government has to give general mass promotion to the students pursuing these classes.’
On the other hand, the entire nation is currently following the lockdown rule for a week. The lockdown period continues till 14th April 2020. Intending to control the spread of the coronavirus in the state, the Government has closed all schools from 19th March 2020. The Government also deferred all the High school as well as the higher secondary school exams.
Apart from the 10th and 12th board exams, some other entrance exams were also deferred. The respective authorities will announce the revised dates for those exams after the country-wide lockdown. Till then, stay tuned to our website – KVPY to get the latest updates time-to-time.
