Final Year Exam Dates for Diploma, Pharmacy and Engineering Students Announced in MP

The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the schedule on Monday for holding final year exams for Diploma, Pharmacy, and Engineering Students across the state. As per the announcement, the final year examinations will be conducted between August and September following the UGC guidelines that were issued in the first week of July 2020. Further, the Chief Minister said that the final year exam results will be declared in October 2020.

The exams in the state for Diploma students will be conducted between 27th August and 14th September via online mode. The theoretical and practical exams for the UG, Pharmacy, and Engineering courses will be organized from 24th August to 9th September 2020 via online mode. The State CM further said that the candidates who can’t take part in the exams on the aforementioned dates, a special online/offline exam will be organized between 15th September and 23rd September 2020.

The regular classes for the 2nd to 7th-semester students pursuing different courses for the academic year 2020-21 will be commenced from 17th August 2020 online. On the other hand, the regular online classes for new admissions will be commenced from 15th October 2020. The CM announced this news by posting a series of tweets. He further said that the students of various technical courses from the 2nd to 7th semester will be promoted to the subsequent semesters depending on their previous semester results and the internal assessment of the semester.

Previously, the University Grants Commission asked all universities across the nation to hold the final semester exams before 30th September 2020. The Commission had announced that it’s up to the decision of the states whether to conduct the exams in online or offline or blended modes. Some of the states respected the decision and commenced organizing the exams for the students across various universities. On the other hand, some other states raised their inefficiency in wrapping up the exams amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
