GATE 2021 Applicants Can Change Details in the Application Form from 13th November

GATE 2021 applications are open already. All the ambitious candidates seeking to get admissions into various PG courses have commenced their application submission process online. As per the latest news, the candidates can now change their preference of exam city and edit some of their details like category, gender or paper applied for if required. The applicants can utilize this provision on the official website i.e., at gate.iitb.ac.in. The last date for choosing the preferred exam city and edit options is 13th November 2020.

The candidates can change their exam city of choice for free. On the other hand, the applicants need to pay a certain amount as a fee if they are willing to make edits in the remaining categories. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is the challenging entrance exam conducted across the nation. The aspirants seeking to get admission into Ph.D. and other postgraduate courses in IITs apply for this test every year. The contenders who have cleared the GATE examination will also be eligible to get PSU jobs and government scholarships or assistantships.

Usually, one among 7 IITs and IISc Bangalore holds this exam every year. This year, IIT-Bombay will conduct the GATE examination for the aspirants. Last year, about 8.59 lakh candidates have applied for the GATE examination. This year, this figure has crossed to 882684 applicants across the nation. This year, the candidates pursuing their B. Tech or other courses in the third year have also been permitted to take up the examination. The students in the humanities discipline were also permitted.

In recent times, the concerned authorities have disclosed the GATE 2021 schedule. The exam will be conducted between 5th and 14th February in two shifts i.e., 9 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM. The officials will issue the GATE 2021 admit card to the candidates on 8th January 2021. Further, the national level entrance test exam result will be disclosed on 22nd March 2021. This year, 2 new papers namely Environmental Science and Engineering and Humanities and Social Science have been included.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is a computer-based MCQ-based examination conducted for a total of 100 marks. The candidates need to answer 65 questions and the duration of the exam is 3 hours.
