HRD Launches VidyaDaan 2.0, Asks People to Contribute e-Learning Content

Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the HRD Minister launched a national programme – VidyaDaan 2.0 on 22nd April 2020. This new programme aims at inviting skilled teachers to contribute to the digital content. The officials have launched this programme considering the COVID-19 pandemic across the nation. This crisis has driven the Government to focus on providing digital learning content to the students. Both the school and college students are gained through this programme.

The risky situation in the country has generated an imperative requirement to initiate digital education right from school level. After launching the new initiative, the minister invited teachers to share quality content with the students through digital platforms. As part of the contribution, they can share animations, teaching videos, explanatory videos, question banks and assessments in a stipulated format.

After receiving the content from the contributors, academic experts’ panel will review the content. If it is of great quality, it will be released officially and the students can access it on the DIKSHA app. Millions of students will be able to access the content anywhere and anytime.

The HRD Minister further spoke about the 10th and 12th exams conducting schedule. Once the situation comes to normal condition, the revised schedule will be informed to the students, said the minister. Ramesh Pokhriyal also said that a content contribution tool is available on the VidyaDaan program.

It renders a well-designed interface to the contributors to share their content. The contributors can register on this program and share various content types for any class, any subject or topic based on their preference.
