IIT Madras has deferred the Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Exam [HSEE] 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras also announced that the revised schedule for conducting the exam will be informed soon. Earlier, the officials of IIT Madras have scheduled to organize the HSEE exam on 19th April 2020.
Due to the abrupt lockdown imposed by the Government intends to reduce the coronavirus spread, the authorities have postponed the exam. Until announcing the revised schedule through a fresh notice, the applicants are hereby informed to stay tuned to the official website. The authorities of the institute have decided to issue the HSEE admit card 2020 on 3rd April. But, the admit card issuance is also delayed due to the postponement of the entrance exam.
The HSEE admit card issuance was postponed earlier from the scheduled date. The officials previously decided to release the admit card on 18th March 2020. They have deferred the release date because of the coronavirus pandemic spread across the nation. Now, the new date for releasing the admit card will be announced after the completion of the lockdown period.
IIT officials have commenced the online application process from 11th December 2019. It has closed the registration process on 23rd January. Later, the applicants had a facility to check the application status on the official website till 6th March 2020. By then, the whole world was attacked by the perilous COVID-19 pandemic. Intending to reduce the spread across the nation, various educational institutions have delayed different entrance and board exams.
