The Indian Institute of Crafts and Design has announced the postponement of the entrance examination. Earlier, the institute has scheduled to organize the Part A test on 12th April 2020. Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the officials have delayed the exam schedule. This test will be conducted in 2 phases.
The first part of the exam has been postponed as of now. However, the authorities have decided not to change the schedule of the Part B entrance test. The officials have earlier scheduled to conduct the Part B IICD entrance test between 1st June and 7th June 2020. On the official website of IICD i.e., at iicd.ac.in, the authorities have released a notice.
The latest notice says, ‘The entrance exam of IICD will be re-scheduled due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. The entrance exam for Part A will now not be conducted on April 12, 2020. New dates will be released by the end of April.’ Keeping in mind the hardships of the students confronting during the lockdown period, the officials have decided to extend the last date for the registrations.
The officials have announced both the news through the official website. One is about the postponement of the IICD entrance exam and the extension of the deadline for application form submission. As per the notice, the aspirants can fill the form online and submit them before 12th April 2020. Before the lockdown, the officials have decided to close the registrations window by 20th March 2020.
However, after the lockdown being imposed by the Prime Minister of India, the date has been extended and the exam has been postponed. All the willing candidates are informed to submit the application form for the IICD entrance exam before the due date. To register, the aspirants must provide their basic details. The registration process involves various steps such as filling the details, uploading photo and signature and payment of the application fee.
