Jammu Division’s Schools to Reopen for Classes 9 to 12 from Feb 1 in Summer Zone

All the schools across the Jammu region situated in the summer zone will be reopened for 10th to 12th classes starting 1st February 2021. It’s been more than 10 months since the schools were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, said the concerned officials on Friday. BK Singh, the Secretary of Education Department issued an order recently. As per the order, all the private schools and government educational institutions shall be opened physically in a phased manner for conducting regular academic activities, as per the schedule.

BK Singh stated that the schools in the summer zone situated in the Jammu division will be reopened from 1st February for classes 9 to 12. The order further stated that the schools must follow all the COVID-19 Standard Operation Procedures [SOPs] mandatorily at their corresponding premises. On the other hand, the teachers of elementary classes will attend schools from 1st February. The students can physically attend their regular classes starting 8th February 2021.
