Amid the outbreak of the dangerous coronavirus epidemic, different entrance-level exams were postponed. The officials have delayed the JEE Mains exam 2020 due to the current condition of the nation. Recently, Ramesh Pokhriyal, the Human Resources Development Minister made an official announcement about the JEE-Main exam 2020.
During an interview, the HRD Minister announced the plans of the ministry for bringing back the academic calendar to the normal situation. He further said that the JEE Main exam would be organized in June 2020. The Minister said that various agencies, boards, and stakeholders are seeking to implement all the plausible criteria for deciding the new schedule of the exam.
Due to the current situation, the new academic session might be deferred, as per the report from the HRD minister. After reopening the colleges and universities, the final semester exams will be conducted for the students. Further, the admission procedure for the new batch will commence. It might take at least a month for this new academic session process.
The officials also said that a new committee has been started to take care of the matters related to the exams and academic calendar. The committee will soon submit a new report on it. The Minister said that the safety of the students and teachers is the top preference in the current situation. Before announcing the revised schedule for the JEE Main exam, the HRD Ministry is considering the opinions of IITs, various boards, stakeholders and some other agencies.
