The outbreak of coronavirus across the nation has led to the postponement of various exams. In recent times, the Karnataka Examination Authority announced that the Common Entrance Test has been delayed. The obvious reason behind the postponement of KCET 2020 is the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier, the authorities have scheduled to conduct the entrance test on 23rd and 24th April. By releasing the notice, the officials have announced regarding the deferred exam.
The Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, Dr. Ashwathnarayan CN announced that the test has been deferred for an unspecified period. As per the announcement, the officials haven’t wrapped up the 2nd PUC exams due to the spread of coronavirus nation-wide. The notice further says that the subsequent announcement will be made in April 3rd week.
The officials posted a tweet on the microblogging website regarding the postponement. The tweet says, ‘Common Entrance Test for Professional Courses (CET) to be held on April 22 & 23 has been postponed indefinitely. Second PU Exams have not yet been completed due to the condition prevailing from #COVID19. The revised CET exam date will be announced in the third week of April.’
After discussing with the concerned authorities of KEA, the candidates can check the fresh datesheet of KCET 2020. Due to the lockdown period in Karnataka, the officials have postponed the PUC exams in the middle. Besides this exam, they haven’t commenced the SSLC examination.
