The Government of Kerala has decided once again to postpone the SSLC and Plus-2 examinations of the leftover papers. Earlier, the authorities of the Department of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala have scheduled to conduct the SSLC exams on 23rd, 24th, and 26th March 2020. While the Higher Secondary exams were scheduled to hold between 23rd and 26th March 2020. All those exams have been postponed now by the Kerala Government.
Further, the authorities have planned to conduct the postponed exams between 26th and 31st May 2020. It’s the second time for the concerned authorities to postpone the exams. As per the latest announcement, the Kerala SSLC and DHSE Plus 2 exams that were postponed twice will be conducted in June 2020. The previous revised schedule for the SSLC and Plus-2 exams has been issued by the Kerala Government a week back.
Due to the ongoing lockdown amid the coronavirus outbreak, the revised datesheet has been changed. Recently, Prime Minister Modi has extended the nationwide lockdown to 31st May 2020 due to the exponential rise in the COVID-19 cases. During a high-level meeting organized recently, the Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan made this decision. Three subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry exam papers are postponed for the SSLC students. On the other hand, the class 12 exams are yet to be commenced.
The Directorate of Higher Education, Kerala has decided not to hold 8th and 9th class annual exams for the students. The revised schedule for the SSLC and Plus-2 exams in June will be issued soon by the concerned authorities.
