The Government of Madhya Pradesh has finally decided not to hold the pending 10th class examinations. Another latest news is that the MP class 12 exams will be organized from 8th June 2020. The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education [MOBSE] will not conduct the 10th exams for the students that were remained before lockdown. The pending 10th class exams will be wrapped up by 16th June 2020, as per the latest notice.
The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh announced that the private schools should levy only tuition fees excluding the additional fees from the students. Due to the nationwide lockdown amid the COVID-19 crisis, Madhya Pradesh CM made this announcement. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, MP CM posted a tweet on his official Twitter handle and disclosed the MP Government’s decision.
He further added that the concerned board officials will prepare the class 10 merit list of the students based on their performance in the exams. The tweet reads, ‘For the canceled subjects, the students will get the remark ‘pass’ on their mark sheets.’ Previously, the officials of the board planned to hold the exams only for main subjects. The Madhya Pradesh Board also planned to revive the evaluation process 3 days post the completion of the lockdown.
At the beginning of the nationwide lockdown, the MP board cancelled the state-level exams for the students of classes 5 and 8. Due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic across the nation, the Indian Government has imposed the lockdown. The minister said that the private schools are permitted to take the tuition fee from the students from 19th March and the final date of the lockdown.
Originally, the officials of the MPBSE have scheduled to hold the 10th and 12th class exams in March and April 2020. On the other hand, the evaluation process of answer scripts was scheduled to begin from 21st March. However, all the scheduled exams and evaluation sessions were postponed.
