The Kerala State Government has commenced online classes for the students across different schools from 1st June 2020. Pinarayi Vijayan, the Chief Minister of Kerala announced that the academic year 2020-21 initiated from Monday with digital classes. The online classes have begun for the aspirants with the name ‘First Bell’. The Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education [KITE] has issued the complete timetable for the online classes recently. As per the latest report, the new classes will be conducted through KITE Victors Channel. The students can also access digital classes on YouTube.
After launching the new online channel, the state CM said, ‘Our children are entering the new academic year. Due to COVID-19 children cannot reach schools right now. Instead, the government is preparing a system for a home study. Our academic year begins with online classes. Classes will be broadcast according to the timetable set by the Kite Victors Channel. Classes are also made available through YouTube.’
As the students across the state couldn’t come to the schools for education, the State Government took this decision. On Monday morning, the online classes were commenced. Due to the ongoing lockdown amid the COVID-19 crisis, no student can reach the schools for pursuing their respective classes. The students can take part in online classes.
As per the latest timetable, the digital classes for Kerala school students will be commenced from 8.30 am and wraps up by 5.30 pm every day. The online classes will be organized between Monday and Friday for all the students. Based on the class of the student, the time slots will be allotted by the concerned authorities. KITE is a nodal agency for ICT education across different schools in the state. The ‘First Bell’ online classes are being telecasted through the channel IT@School VICTERS.
