No Further Reduction in CBSE Class 10 Social Science Syllabus: Official

Several reports regarding the reduction of the CBSE syllabus of class 10 social science paper emerged for some time. The Central Board of Secondary Education has issued a new report to inform that no reduction of CBSE class 10 social science papers will be done for the upcoming exams. According to the latest report, a total of 5 units from social science papers have been removed from the syllabus for the board examination.

One of the officials from the Central Board of Secondary Education stated, ‘I would like to inform friends that there is no official word on further reduction in syllabus in class 10 social science as rumored.’ As there were copious rumors about the further reduction of the syllabus, the board authorities have decided to give clarity on this rumor. 

No Further Reduction in CBSE Class 10 Social Science Syllabus

The students can find the revised syllabus of the class 10 examination on the official website of CBSE. The concerned authorities of the board have scheduled to conduct the social science paper on 27th May 2021. As per the schedule, the 10th class board examinations will be conducted between 4th May and 10th June 2021. 

The test paper will comprise 33 percent internal choice questions. We already know that the board had reduced 30 percent of the syllabus for the upcoming examination. To take up the test, all the students, invigilators, and other staff must follow the COVID-19 precautions strictly. It includes wearing face masks, using sanitizers, following social distancing, etc.

The board has decided to hold the practical examinations from 1st March 2021 and the respective schools will follow the same. Further, the practical exam result will be disclosed by 15th July 2021.
