National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning [NPTEL] is the online portal of the Ministry of HRD. The latest news is that NPTEL has issued the last 5-year question papers for the GATE aspirants on the official website of NPTEL i.e., nptel.ac.in. At the time of launching the study material, the HRD Minister posted a tweet and informed the same. He said that these question papers help students in strengthening their GATE exam preparations.
Previously, the minister said that there are few significant initiatives for the aspirants who have cleared the GATE exam. He also announced that the officials will diminish the GATE score necessity for those to become eligible for the PMRF. It is the Prime Minister Research Fellowship scheme initiated for the ambitious candidates. The candidates who secure 650 or above score in the GATE examination will be eligible for the scholarship offered through this scheme.
The candidates who are eligible for this scheme can get admission into various research programmes. Besides this, the students can get admissions into PhDs at topmost institutes across India. Some of them include IISER, IITs and IISc Bangalore. The candidates who get through the counselling sessions will get admissions into various IIITs, government-funded technical organizations, NITs, IIEST Shibpur and more.
The registration process is currently active for CCMT Counselling. This process will end on 12th June 2020 as per the latest report. The candidates who are seeking to access the previous year questions papers can visit the official website of NPTEL. One can find the GATE Preparation link under the ‘Other Initiatives’ section. The aspirants will be able to access the last 5-year GATE question papers from that link. One can easily download the question papers based on your selected subject and the year.
This year, more than 8.59 lakh candidates have registered for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering examination. Out of them, a total of 6.85 lakh students have taken part in the exam. The concerned authorities have conducted the exam for 25 papers including biomedical paper. The officials have introduced the biomedical paper this year.
The conducting body held the GATE 2020 exam for the applicants in a total of 8 sessions across 566 exam venues in 199 cities of the nation. GATE is one of the prestigious examinations conducted every year in February.
