The State Government of Rajasthan has announced that it will cancel all UG and PG examinations across various educational institutions considering the COVID-19 pandemic. This news came out on Sunday i.e., on 5th July 2020 from the concerned authorities. During a high-level review meeting organized on Saturday, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot made this decision. After the meeting, the Government announced that the students will be promoted to the next standard sans any exams.
Subhash Garg, the Technical Education Minister of the state said that a decision will be taken regarding the students’ marks post considering the Union HRD Ministry guidelines. The decision regarding the determination of marks for the students of various educational institutions will be taken soon, said the education minister. Some of the representatives from the students of different universities visited the CM’s residence on Sunday to show their thankfulness towards the decision.
Further, the Rajasthan Chief Minister directed the students to take part in the COVID-19 prevention awareness campaign being organized by the state government. The minister further said that the students’ contribution to such campaigns shows a massive impact on society. It’s also important for the students to put the utmost efforts in saving people from the perilous coronavirus outbreak.
Speaking about the COVID-19 pandemic, till now, about 19532 active cases have been confirmed across Rajasthan. As per the latest updates, a total of 447 deaths have been registered in the state.
