The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, K Palaniswami officially announced mass promotion news on Wednesday. As per the news, all students from standard 1 to 9 will be promoted without writing final exams. This promotion is applicable to all the students from various schools across Tamil Nadu state.
All the schools and colleges across the country were closed for a few days due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this particular situation, no student can take up the final exams. Upon considering the well-being of the students, the CM of Tamil Nadu passed an order to promote all the students from 1st to 9th standard. The School Education Department has followed his order and decided on the mass promotion of the school students.
On the other hand, the plus-two exams were scheduled to begin from 24th March 2020. But, due to the country-wide lockdown for 21 days, the plus-two exams were postponed. However, the officials haven’t announced the revised schedule for organizing Plus-2 exams in Tamil Nadu.
