The Education Minister of Tamil Nadu State, K. Sengottaiyan said that the 10th class board exams will be organized in the state after the completion of the nationwide lockdown amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This announcement has been made on 9th May 2020 i.e., on Saturday. He further added that the board will make the decision regarding the examination after considering the recommendations of the high-level education committee.
The officials of the board also consider the latest reports from the health officials regarding the coronavirus pandemic. The minister distributed different welfare schemes to about 450 handloom weavers at Savakkatupalayam village nearby Gobichettipalayam. The Education Minister of Tamil Nadu state said that the seating arrangement for the board exams will be done in the safest manner.
The concerned authorities will follow the necessary social distancing norms in order to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. He also added that the subsequent academic session will be commenced only after the nation’s situation comes under control. The minister further announced that a total of 2000 mathematics teachers would be appointed to offer digital training to the students in Tamil Nadu state.
The ambitious students who are highly determined can participate in the online classes, said the education minister. Further, the minister spoke about the retirement age of the government employees in the state. He said that the Government made a decision on increasing the retirement age limit for the employees of the state government from 58 to 59. This decision was made after considering the recommendations of the experts.
