The State Government of Telangana has once again deferred the class 10 exams that were earlier scheduled to organize from 8th June 2020. On Saturday i.e., 6th June, the education minister of the state, Sabitha Indra Reddy made this announcement. The minister further added that the officials will soon meet the CM to show the plan and make a decision about conducting TS 10th class exams.
Previously, the High Court of Telangana said that the class 10 exams can’t be organized in the GHMC region. Later the High Court has clarified that three districts in Telangana are identified as COVID-19 hotspots. It includes Ranga Reddy, Secunderabad and Hyderabad districts. The court has announced that the exams won’t be conducted in the areas of GHMC.
Following necessary precautions, the officials can hold TS 10th class exams in the remaining locations of the state. Due to the ongoing lockdown amid the exponential rise of COVID-19 cases, the High Court asked the state to postpone the SSC exams in the GHMC area. The officials of the educational board have planned to conduct the SSC exams between 8th June and 5th July 2020.
Before imposing the lockdown, the board had earlier conducted only 3 exam papers. Still, there are 8 more papers for which the authorities will hold the exams. It includes major subjects such as Mathematics, Science, and English. The concerned authorities are likely to disclose the TS Intermediate results in the 2nd week of June 2020.
The education minister of the state said that the officials have commenced the evaluation process back in May 2020. Hence, the candidates can anticipate the result declaration by the 2nd week of June. This year, more than 5 lakh candidates have enrolled for the TS SSC exams. On the other hand, about 9.65 lakh students have applied for the 1st and 2nd-year intermediate exams this year.
