The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Trivendra Singh Rawat launched free high-speed Wi-Fi service on Sunday to all the government colleges and universities across the state. The state CM launched the internet service at a college in his constituency Doiwala.
He stated that Uttarakhand is the first state in the nation to offer free internet to all government colleges and universities. The facility of internet connectivity across various colleges and universities in the state will play a vital role in the education of the students, said the CM.
Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India initiative, the state has come up with this move, said Rawat. This aims at connecting the old with the modern and helps students to carry out various educational activities using the internet service.
