The Education Minister of West Bengal, Partha Chatterjee officially disclosed the revised schedule of pending Higher Secondary exams 2020 on Tuesday. As per the latest announcement, the Uccha Madhyamik exams of the leftover papers will be organized from 29th June 2020. According to the revised datesheet, those exams will be conducted on 29th June, 2nd July, and 6th July 2020.
Previously, the concerned authorities of the West Bengal education board have planned to hold the exams on 23rd, 25th, and 27th March. However, the authorities have deferred the exams due to the nationwide lockdown amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Examinations [WBHSC] will issue the 12th class exam datesheet on the official website soon.
The authorities of the council previously asked the administration of different schools to promote 11th class students for this academic session. As per the council’s order, all the schools must send the marks of the class 11 students from their previous exams in a specific format. The council has already prescribed a particular format in which the students’ marks should be sent before 22nd June 2020.
For the upcoming pending exams, the council had made essential arrangements ensuring the safety of the students at the exam venues. The council took necessary steps so that every individual at the venues follow the vital social distancing instructions. The education minister said, ‘The students will be allowed in the examination centers wearing masks, and the sitting arrangements will be made keeping a distance of two meters.’
The pending exams of 12th class students include Chemistry, Journalism, Physics, Economics, Geography, Accountancy, Statistics, and Mass Communication. On the other hand, the officials have wrapped up the evaluation of madhyamik or 10th class answer scripts. As per the announcement, the officials might disclose the results sometime in the last week of July or August.
After the completion of the evaluation process, it takes at least a month for official result declaration, says the President of the board, Kalyanmoy Ganguly. The ambitious candidates can access their results from the official website i.e., at wbbse.org. This year, about 10.15 lakh students [accurately 1015888] candidates have registered and written the secondary examinations.
