The Central Board of Secondary Education [CBSE] unites with Fit India Mission to stream live exercise classes to the students. As part of the fitness sessions, they provide various exercise modes such as Yoga, Meditation, nutrition, basic exercises and more. Both the teams joined together to give live streaming of exercises to the students from 15th April 2020 at 9.30 AM. As per the latest announcement, the live sessions will be streamed across popular social networking portals. It includes Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.
The whole world is suffering a lot due to the outbreak of dangerous COVID-19 across various countries. Intending to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus in the country, the Government has imposed a nationwide lockdown till 3rd May 2020. All the educational institutes across the nation were shut down amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The students can even download the exercise sessions and watch anytime irrespective of the location.
The board has disclosed an official circular in recent times. The board said, ‘As many schools have already initiated online or virtual classes for students, it is equally important to invest in their overall physical, emotional and mental well-being at home during this period.’ Addressing all the principals of different schools, the CBSE authorities informed that the live sessions are available in the form of video capsules. These capsules can be distributed further.
The Fit India Mission announced that it would launch 5 sessions each for 5 minutes. The sessions will be released in the break time of each online session. Meanwhile, the students can take them whilst the ongoing period. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the Union Human Resource Development Minister posted a tweet regarding his meeting with Kiren Rijiju, the Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports. During the meeting, they discussed the collaboration with CBSE to offer live exercise sessions to the students.
In this highly critical condition of the nation, each student needs to boost immunity levels through nutritious food, basic exercises, yoga, and meditation. The board has initiated this live fitness session to the students to aid the children to stay healthy and fit in any tough circumstances. Moreover, the students will be able to develop a well-mannered and active lifestyle right from the young age, said CBSE. After the official announcement about the extension of lockdown till 3rd May 2020, the PM once again delayed the reopening of the schools. As the children cannot go out to study, providing basic physical exercises could be beneficial to them.
