The National Testing Agency [NTA] has delayed the registration procedure for DUET 2020. The University of Delhi Entrance Test is the gateway for the aspirants that provides admission into various UG, PG, MPhil and Ph.D. courses. To provide admissions into the candidates based on the merit of the candidates, the University has deferred the issuance of the application form.
Earlier, the University has decided to release the DUET application form 2020 on 2nd April. But, NTA has issued an official notice informing the candidates regarding the postponement of the exam. The officials took this decision as the University will be closed until the completion of the lockdown. The authorities of NTA released the official notice on the website on 4th April 2020.
As per the notice, ‘In view of the COVID-19 Epidemic, the University of Delhi has put on hold the registration process for UG/PG/M.Phil./Ph.D. courses as per Press Release dated 2nd April available at the official website.’ The notice further states that ‘In view of this press release the DUET 2020 is being deferred.’
The University officials have decided to announce the revised schedule for the application form and DUET 2020 registrations after lifting the lockdown. Earlier, the authorities have scheduled to organize the entrance test from 2nd to 9th June 2020. However, the varsity has postponed the application process as well as the exam date.
From the year 2019, NTA has been conducting the DUET exam. Previously, the Delhi University organized the entrance exam internally. Amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 across the nation, all the entrance and board-level exams were postponed. Several students were highly tensed about the registration process.
Recently, NTA released an official circular informing the students that the candidates will get enough time between the registration and the preparation time for the entrance test. We will update the latest information regarding the entrance exam on this website.
