The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board have deferred the GUJCET examination this year. Previously, the officials of the board have decided to organize the GUJCET 2020 on 22nd August 2020. As per the latest news, the authorities have postponed the entrance exam to 24th August 2020. Considering the Ganesh Chaturthi and Samvatsari festivals, the board authorities have postponed the GUJCET 2020 examination. Earlier, the officials have deferred the entrance exam due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s not the first time for the board to postpone the entrance exam. The board officials have delayed the examination for the third time.
According to the latest announcement made by the board, the officials will issue the GUJCET 2020 Admit Card in about 10 days before the commencement of the exam. From the official website of the board, gseb.org, the candidates can download the admit card to take part in the entrance exam. More than 1.25 lakh students have registered for GUJCET 2020 examination this year.
The board officials have received about 49000 applications from the students for the medical stream. On the other hand, the board received about 75000 registrations from the students for the non-medical stream. GUJCET 2020 is a pen-and-paper based examination that will be organized for 2 hours. This examination comprises 100 objective-based questions.
GUJCET is an entrance examination conducted every year to provide admissions into various Engineering and Pharmacy courses. The examination assesses the intelligence of the students in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry topics for the Engineering stream. For the Pharmacy stream, the questions in the GUJCET exam are based on Physics, Biology, and Chemistry topics. This examination will be conducted in 3 mediums i.e., English, Hindi, and Gujarati languages.
