About Haryana State Board of Technical Education
Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSCS) was constituted by the Haryana government in the year 2007. The society was established so as to implement transparent and uniform procedure for admissions to various post graduate, graduate and diploma courses in different disciplines of Engineering, Technology, Architecture & Planning, Pharmacy, Management etc. Students qualified in the inter-se-merit are given admission into the diploma engineering and pharmacy courses. Other than these exams the society also conducts state level entrance tests for the admission into diploma and BE/B.Tech lateral entry. The admissions into BE/B.Tech courses are made based onnthe rank secured in JEE.
The society has many objectives that it works for. It prepares and executes plans and programmes for the running of the society. To prescribe rules and regulations for the admission into various All India Council for Technical Education approved Technical courses of study. It also prescribes rules and regulations to conduct examinations. It releases the results following which it asks the students to attend counselling to provide admissions. The society every now and then conducts short-term courses, counseling and mentoring for the benefits of all students. It also offers scholarships to the students belonging to backward classes to promote technical education among them.
