JEE Main 2020 Results – Percentile Marks
The percentile marks indicate the percentage of the students secured equal or below the specific percentile in the examination. The student who secures the highest score in each session will secure a similar percentile of 100 which is considered the best score. The marks secured by the students between the highest and lowest scores will be converted into the relevant percentiles.
The authorities will provide percentile scores to the students who have appeared for the JEE Main examination. This particular score will be considered as the normalized score for the exam. Instead of awarding marks, the students will be able to access the percentile score while accessing the result. Based on the percentile marks in JEE Main exam, the officials will prepare the merit lists.
To evade the problem of getting a tie between the students, the officials will calculate the percentile score up to 7 decimal places. In case, if two or more students secure equal percentile scores in the exam, the authorities will consider the inter-se merit of those students. As the authorities will disclose the JEE Main Result 2020 in online mode, the students are advised to arrange necessary details at hand. The candidates must require the application number and date of birth or password to gain access to the result.
