Kendriya Vidyalayas to Start Online Classes for Students

Intending to provide education to the students amid the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has initiated a new protocol. According to the protocol, the students who are currently stuck at homes due to the nation-wide lockdown can participate in online classes. KVS has planned to go digital to commence online classes to the aspirants.

KVS is the official organization that administers all the Kendriya Vidyalayas across different states. Aiming to provide education to the students in a critical situation, KVS has decided to implement different digital modes. The official body has ordered all the regional offices of Kendriya Vidyalayas to utilize the possible resources. This way, the concerned teachers of KVS will be able to communicate with the students and their studies.

Kendriya Vidyalayas to Start Online Classes for Students

On the Swayam Prabha Portal, KVS has shared the timetable of different lessons. As per the schedule, the digital classes will begin from 7th April 2020. The officials of KVS will begin live programs as well as the recorded programs of NIOS for class 10 and class 12 candidates. KVS also informed the same to the teachers, students, and parents via different sources like WhatsApp, Email, SMS and more.

As per the statement from the HRD Ministry official, ‘We have shared some action points with all principals… An essential protocol has also been designed for online classes to be conducted by our teachers.’ KVS has selected some teachers to take part in the live sessions. NIOS conducts the live sessions at SwayamPrabha Portal. All the doubts of the students can be clarified through Live Web Chat and Skype.

The selected teachers need to prepare for the live sessions with extra notes on the subject that was taught in the morning session. During the live session, the teachers will be able to clarify the students’ doubts. If some issues occur amidst the live session, the concerned faculty will summarize the subject through PPT or available teaching sources.
