The University of Mumbai has postponed all the exams until the completion of the nation-wide lockdown. As per the latest reports, the University has cancelled the Undergraduate and Postgraduate exams till 14th April 2020. The Indian Government has passed an order to follow the lockdown period due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The aspiring candidates can check the revised schedule post the completion of the nation-wide lockdown period. It’s not the first time for the University to postpone the UG and PG exams for the respective students. Previously, the University has deferred the exams till 31st March 2020. But, due to the abrupt decision regarding the lockdown, the University had to postpone the exams again.
On the whole, 759 exams are to be organized for different courses. After announcing the news about the postponement of the exams, the varsity has released another circular. Dr. Suhas Pednekar, the Vice-Chancellor of the University asked all the contenders to utilize the time in pursuing interesting activities.
Apart from the UG and PG exams, some other exams were postponed that are affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The IDOL [Institute of Distance and Open Learning] delayed the 1st and 2nd year B.Com exams. Earlier, those exams were scheduled to conduct between 31st March and 15th April.
Different board-level and national-level exams have been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Due to the postponement of the exams twice, some of the students from the University of Mumbai were upset. The postponement of the exams will show an immense impact on the academic career of the candidates.
Several students have planned to pursue their higher education after finishing their semester exams at the University.
