Mumbai University Releases Second Merit List

The Mumbai University has finally disclosed the 2nd merit list for providing admissions into various UG courses. The aspirants can access the second merit list published on the official website of the University, mu.ac.in. Besides the official website, the candidates can check the list on the respective websites of different colleges in Mumbai. Usually, the officials carry out the admission process in offline mode. Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the whole admission procedure has been carried out in online mode.

Mumbai University Releases Second Merit List

The candidates whose names are present in the merit list need to take part in the document verification process. Once the documents are verified, the concerned authorities will allocate the seats based on the merit of each candidate. The officials of the Mumbai University have released the 2nd merit list at 7 PM on 11th August 2020. The document verification and payment procedures will commence on 12th August 2020. By 17th August 2020 up to 3 PM, the candidates have the time to finish the payment process and document verification.

The candidates who couldn’t acquire admission into their preferred college and course in the first merit list can get it in the 2nd merit list. The University is likely to disclose three merit lists of the selected candidates. Further, the aspirants can access their 3rd merit list on 17th August at 7 PM. Previously, during the release of 1st merit list; the candidates had confronted several problems in accessing the websites. However, this time, the candidates need to be patient in reaching the websites as there is no offline mode to access the merit list.

This year, about 3.3 lakh candidates have enrolled in the admission process. Around 6.3 lakh applications have been received by the concerned authorities. For carrying out the verification process, the students need to upload and submit their scanned signature, passport size photo, self-attested 10th class, and 12th class certificates. Ensure that the certificates comprise the date of birth of the candidate. To download the merit list, the candidates can simply visit the official website of Mumbai University. By tapping the link, the candidates can download the PDF document displayed on the screen.
