The State Government of Odisha has planned to commence online education for 10th class students. This online class facility is only implemented for the Government school students in the state. To reduce the coronavirus effect and the lockdown impact on the education system in the state, the Government has come to this decision.
Before the Government schools, different private educational organizations in the state have already begun online classes. The Government schools couldn’t implement the same till now due to the lack of essential infrastructure. One of the Government officials has announced this news in recent times. Samir Ranjan Dash, the State School, and Mass Education Minister made an official announcement. He said that the initial classes online will be provided to the students who will get promoted to the 10th class in the next academic year.
All the 9th class students will be promoted to the next standard amid the outbreak of the coronavirus cases across the state. The concerned authorities have announced that all the students should be prepared to take part in the online classes. Due to the nation-wide lockdown imposed by the Central Government, the education minister had to shut down all the schools. As a result, the classes were stopped abruptly without finishing the complete syllabus.
As the Central Government has extended the lockdown till 30th April 2020, all the educational institutions will remain closed till 17th June 2020. In an interview, Samir also said that encouraging impart education will eventually improve the connectivity between the students and teachers. The Government also advised the students to download the DIKSHA app for those who have access to a PC or laptop alongside the internet facility at home.
On the other hand, earlier, the officials planned to begin the delivery of the study material in the 1st week of April. But now, it has been deferred due to the extended lockdown in the nation. Stay tuned to this website to get the latest news about various exams, educational updates and more.
