The Punjab School Education Board [PSEB] has finally disclosed the class 5, 8, and 10 results based on the grading system. On the official website of PSEB, i.e., at www.pseb.ac.in and www.indiaresults.com, the officials have uploaded the results. The concerned authorities have disclosed the results based on the marks acquired in pre-board exams and Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation [CCE].
Vijay Inder Singla, the School Education Minister of Punjab said that the education board will hold the exams of the open school candidates. These students don’t come under the CCE criteria. Hence, the exams for the subjects at the matriculation level will be conducted. The Cabinet minister of the state announced that the schedule for ‘golden chance’, open school, an additional subject, and improvement exams will be published soon on the board’s website.
He further added that the government has considered the current situation of the state due to the ongoing lockdown amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Considering the situation, the officials will release the XII class exams’ datesheet. He further added that the results of the aforementioned classes were released as per the guidelines and recommendations of the state Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.
Previously, the minister posted a tweet on 8th May. The tweet reads, ‘Have decided to promote students of Class V & VIII to next classes as well as to promote class X students to next class on the basis of pre-board results. For Class XII examinations, we will follow the Government of India’s decision.’
The minister said that no facility of CCE for open school students and other categories is available. As a result, the students may need to appear for the exams. The Punjab state government is still monitoring the situation across the state, said the education minister. PSEB will hold exams only after the Government permits all the student activities in different schools in the state.
