Ashok Gehlot, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan officially announced this news after organizing a review meeting on the COVID-19 situation in the state alongside few officials on Tuesday. Considering the decline in COVID-19 cases in Rajasthan, the Chief Minister’s Office has released a notice regarding the reopening of various educational institutions. All the schools, colleges, training institutes, universities, and others have been directed to reopen from 18th January 2021 in Rajasthan.

The state CM also instructed all the medical, dental, paramedical, and nursing colleges to open the institutes from 11th January to carry out the COVID-19 vaccination process. The CM Gehlot directed that 50% attendance of the total capacity in each class will be allowed on the 1st day of the reopening. The remaining 50% of students can attend the educational institutes on the second day.

As of now, the recovery rate in the state has touched 96.31 percent while some of the districts reported zero positive cases. Hence, all the educational institutions can commence their regular functioning in the ‘enhanced scenario’, said the CM. He further stated that ‘The situation is far better [now] than what it was a month ago.’ The Health Department will provide necessary training to the teachers in the state to take care of health protocol and follow instructions to prevent further spread of the infection.

The state government is currently worried about the mutant strain of the virus that’s being spread in Britain. The CM said to the government that it would send its suggestions to the center to prevent the spread of the virus in the nation. He said, ‘We are keeping a strict watch on the people travelling from Britain and other countries and will ensure their intensive screening.’ Keep visiting our website for regular educational updates such as the exams, results, and more.
