The Telangana State Council of Higher Education [TSCHE] has initiated a new skill development course online namely ‘Career Skill Vantage Programme’. The council has launched this new course intending to increase the employment opportunities of the students. The student pursuing various UG and PG courses and fresh graduates can join this online course for free.
Through an official notice, the authorities of TSCHE have informed about the new online course. The notice reads, ‘(The course) will be made available free of cost to 4 lakh students, across 1500 institutions of higher education in the state of Telangana, effective this academic year. Individual institutions can mandate for credits as appropriate.’
With the help of this online programme, the interested aspirants will be able to learn the subject anytime, anywhere irrespective of the location. The council is in partnership with TCS-ion to offer this online course to the aspirants. Every single module of this programme comprises a video alongside a case study excluding the last module. The candidates participating in the online course need to take part in a pre and post-assessment test.
Through this test, the concerned officials will analyze whether the skills of the students meet the course objectives. The online course provides training in soft skills and hard skills from a popular IT foundation course. This helps the students to crack the corporate level interviews. Besides this, it also assists the students to learn how to make a presentation from email etiquette. As of now, there are a total of 11 different modules in this online course.
As per the report, this online course is available to access in English for free. The concerned officials will provide this course for about 10 hours per week commitment for 2 weeks. After passing the course, the students will get a certificate. The Chairman of TSCHE said that TCS ion is one of the biggest employers that has been playing a key role in the enhancement of students’ talents by providing various courses at higher education institutions.
