The short name of the Directorate is DGE TN. It has come in to existence in the year 1911. The main headquarters of the board is at Chennai, Tamilnadu. It was formed as the separate board in 1975 February before the formation of DGE TN in 1911. The directorate main responsibility is to conduct various examinations in the state and they are Matriculation, AngloIndian, Higher Secondary and Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC). The first SSLC exams was organized in the year 1911.
The directorate has a total of seven regional offices in the state. Apart from these academic exams, the department also conducts other vocational stream exams also as per the annexure. Currently, the board is organizing exams for nearly 25 lakh students each academic year. The board is also conducting the 8th standard public exams for the private candidates and they are also allowed to appear in the SSLC as well as Hr. Secondary directly i.e., either compartmentally or wholly.

Tamilnadu 10th Result Past Result Analysis

Right from 2013 to 2019, total number of students writing the SSLC examinations in the Tamilnadu state is above 9 lakhs every year. Though from 2013 to 2016, more than 10 lakh students have attempted the 10th exams, in 2017 and 2018 the count is slightly reduced. However, there is good number of students writing the exams yearly. How to Check SSLC Result 2021 Tamilnadu Online
It is quite easy to access the Tamilnadu 10th Result 2021 online. The board has a result website from which students can easily check their SSLC scores. Tamlinadu SSLC Revaluation Result 2021
DGE TN will open the dates for applying for the revaluation or TN SSLC Retotalling online after the Tamilnadu 10th Result is available. Candidates who are not satisfied with their SSLC scores will have a chance to apply for revaluation on the specified dates through the online mode. The dates for applying for retotatlling, fee to be paid and all other related information will be present on the official portal of DGE. Students can check those details from the portal and apply for revaluation before last date. TN SSLC Supplementary Result 2021

However, they are advised not to worry about it as DGE will give another chance for the candidates who have not scored the pass marks in the SSLC exams through supply exams.
