GATE 2020 Notification

IIT, Delhi has issued the GATE notification for the GATE exam 2020 and asked the interested candidates to apply before the last date.  For the unknown and new, GATE is a National Level Entrance Test conducted annually to bring out the talented candidates and place them in top IITs depending on their merit.  The admissions will be provided into M. Tech./M.E./PhD Programs in IITs, IISERs, IISc and other known Institutes of India. IISc and IITs shoulder the responsibility of conducting the exam on yearly basis.  The GATE exam will be held for 24 papers for 4 days. As there are around 10 lakhs of students taking part in the exam, the exam will be held in two sessions every day – from 9:30 to 12:30 and 2:30 to 5:30. Students will be asked to appear for the exam accordingly and students can check the dates and timings on which they need to appear for the exam from GATE Notification 2020.

GATE is hosted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB).  As it is a competitive exam and the GATE score is helpful not only for the entry into IITs, but also into government jobs, students show great interest in taking it up. Students have the opportunity to appear for the GATE exam more than once.  The GATE score plays a key role in allotting the seats. So, students need to pay more attention to their preparation by checking out the official GATE syllabus, which is the only way to attain good score and thereby get a good seat in IIT. The GATE score detects the performance and excellence of the candidate in particular subject.  Also, the GATE score is valid for three years from the date of announcement of the results.

IIT Delhi has released the official GATE 2020 notification  under which the schedule was present.  Students who are going to apply for GATE 2020 can download the GATE schedule from the official website – gate.iitd.ac.in.  The schedule contains the important dates about the GATE exam such as the application commencement date, last date, admit card release date, exam dates, result release date etc.  So, it is mandatory for the students to go through the schedule at least once.
