Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) is all prepped to organize the counselling process for the GATE qualifiers soon through the IITs in the country. The registration for COAP 2020 is open now and all the eligible candidates are advised to go check the announcement of the same for the latest updates. Candidates need to note that they need to apply for the institute in which they want to pursue M.Tech programme other than registering with COAP. In order to do that, candidates need to be aware of the COAP Participating Institutes first.
COAP Participating Institutes
Candidates applying for the institutes should keep in mind that COAP is not the place to apply for the M.Tech admissions. Instead, aspirants need to visit the respective official web portal of the institute to which they wish to apply and submit their form from there. The participating institutes will follow a certain procedure for selection of the candidates to provide them with admissions. The procedure is as per the norms and guidelines set by the respective institute. The offers of the institutes over the admissions into M.Tech programmes shall be uploaded in the COAP portal for every student to view. In order to decide on the choice of offers offered by the participating institutes, candidates should first register at COAP.
The GATE COAP Participating Institutes will let the students know what the institutes that are contending in the admission process. So, candidates need to be aware of all the participating institutes’ names before deciding on where to pursue their post-graduation. Other than the institutes, candidates will also get job offers from participating PSU’s. The offers shall be uploaded in the common time window by the participating institutes as well as PSU’s. Only the registered candidates of COAP will be able to access the offers. Candidates while registering for the COAP 2020, need to look into the guidelines offered by the portal to know the process of making choices and tackling the offers.

Candidates who have the qualifying score in GATE exam conducted in the years 2018 to 2020 are only eligible to apply for the COAP counselling.
